Santa Visit FAQs
Q: We saw the fire engine coming down our street, and it turned away!
A: At Santa’s Workshop, there are computer elves that use special maps to determine our best routes. On some streets, we will return later. On others, we may be back on another day.
Q: Why doesn’t Elfinwild bring Santa to my neighborhood?
A: Elfinwild takes Santa to nearly every residential street in our entire fire district area. Your house or street may be in another fire company’s district.
Q: Who are Santa’s Helpers?
A: Often, Mrs. Claus and an elf or two make the rounds with Santa. The rest of the crew and drivers are firefighters. (An interesting fact, our drivers get practice driving the fire apparatus around the entire district. We can see what streets are a bit smaller, and we also keep an eye out for things that the firefighters might need to know in an emergency. By the way, stay off the naughty list by keeping fire hydrants clear of snow in the winter!)
Q: I saw one of the elves throw something into a yard, What was it?
A: Most certainly, the elf saw a doggo and tossed a treat. Elves are like that!
Q: What if there’s a fire? What does Santa do?
A: We do have to remain available for emergencies. If we have to go on a call, Santa is secure in the fire engine until we can return to the neighborhoods.
Sometimes, Santa even helps. He’s pretty handy if there is a chimney emergency :-)
Q: Can I make a donation?
A: Yes, Elfinwild Fire Company depends on donations from the community, Santa's helpers and the accompanying firefighters are happy to take donations on behalf of the fire company. Santa will accept letters, wish lists, and the occasional cookie … or two.
